Promises

1.Auctions of cars used by the previous PM. The money from that will be deposited in the national treasury.

70 luxury government-owned vehicles were auctioned out of the total 102. The auction could bring Rs.2 billion to the sitting government said Auction official Mohammad Asif.

Government auctioned eight buffaloes kept at PM house and raised more than Rs2.3 million.

National Highway Authority (NHA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), auctioned 15 vehicles for over Rs.20 million.

According to Adviser to Prime Minister on Media Affairs Iftikhar Durrani, austerity drive at PM house has so far saved Rs147 million. The maintenance cost has been reduced to 3.4 million from 8 million. 200 employees working at the PM house have been adjusted in other areas.

PM Imran Khan converted PM house into an international research based university. Initially, an advanced studies institute will be established later on leading to a full fledge university named Islamabad National University (INU).

11 January 2019

Capital Development Authority (CDA) tells the government that opening a university in PM house would violate city’s master plan.

12 January 2019

Government formed a federal commission to review the conversion of PM house into university; which is expected to take a time of six months as it will review the entire master plan of the capital.
